The northern province of Ninh Binh estimated to welcome over 962,000 tourist arrivals in September of 2026.

Under Resolution No. 47/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2025, on the province's 2026 socio-economic development plan, Ninh Binh aims to welcome 20 million visitors this year, including three million international arrivals, while generating 20 trillion VND (760 million USD) in tourism revenue.

Ninh Binh province welcomed more than 17.61 million tourist arrivals in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.34%, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

Ninh Binh’s green tourism efforts have gained increasing international recognition. In 2025, the Trang An Landscape Complex received Tripadvisor’s prestigious “Best of the Best” award, placing it among the top 1% of destinations worldwide. Tam Coc Bich Dong and Bai Dinh Pagoda were also ranked among the world’s top 10% most popular destinations.

Renewing tourism products, reviving night tourism, shifting from quantity to quality are new directions for Ninh Binh’s tourism sector.

With the goal of developing tourism ecosystem in a smart manner, Ninh Binh province’s tourism sector has stepped up the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence to improve visitors’ experiences and connect tourism value chain.

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has selected Vietnam's northern province of Ninh Binh as the venue for its annual conference, set to take place from January 17-20, 2025. Themed "Tourism for Tomorrow: Preserving the Planet", the event underscores locality’s growing role as a rising star in global tourism, particularly among the Indian travelers.

In the first ten months of 2024, Ninh Binh’s tourism sector was estimated to earn over 7.77 trillion VND (307 million USD), posting a year-on-year increase of 40.34% and making up 94.22% of the yearly plan, according to  the provincial Statistics Office.International tourists visit Trang An ecological site.
